    Baby Food Mill

Parenting is tough.  Even with the best intentions and information, the most loving caregivers out of sheer exhaustion, resort to what is quick and easy. We give pacifiers. We use disposable diapers. We spend vast resources on the right products for babies. We surround them with toys and games before they can walk or even grasp. We buy baby food in the same cute little jars our parents did.

It is hard work to do what is right. Thinking about caring for children first time parents can be easily overwhelmed. Thousands of books, websites, friendly advice, cultures, what our parents did, and what feels right to us are all competing for access to the most critical time of life infant-hood.

Because as a society we are all so busy, we seem to have accepted the idea that everything including the food we feed our babies- should be convenient, easy, fast and disposable. However, in our hearts we know that the over processed foods being sold are probably not the best options.

Benefits to making your own baby food

    Cost effective

    • A six pack of small applesauce cups averages $3.00.
    • A bag of apples costs only half as much money and makes twice as much food.

    Nutrition

    • The food you make is nutrient dense, non-processed, and has no fillers.

    • The food you buy is made by a machine and must stay at room temperature without
decomposing for a long time until someone decides to buy it.

    Family Bonding

    • When you make food for your family it is evidence that you are using your time to
show that you care, spending time together in the kitchen even as infants, children get
an understanding of the real work it takes to produce a meal and the smells, textures
and dedication give a healthy respect to food and its processes.
    • You are living your beliefs when you are making your own baby food.

    Infant Development

    • Making your own food means you can add your own ingredients.
    • You can hide vegetables in juices, carrots are sweet and go unnoticed.

    Health and Allergies

    • Children experience 2-3 times the level of food allergies as adults.
    • Shopping with an infant can be difficult, and when you have to take the time to
scrutinize each food label it is almost impossible.
    • When you are using a baby food mill you know exactly what you put in and exactly
what is going into your baby.

    Time

    • Preparing foods in bulk saves time
    • The food is the right size for a variety of ages from liquids to the introduction of solids

No matter which reason you choose to use a baby food mill you get the benefits of all the reasons. You get healthy children, who are supported by excellent nutrition during the most complex and essential development period in there lives. Children who are assured of your love and attention to their needs. Children with a healthy relationship with food and you save time and money.
