Drive In Movie Theaters
We love to go to drive in movies and try to do it several times a year.  We usually drive into Grandbury Texas for the drive in there but we found a new one in Ennis Texas that we tried this time.  Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

Please book mark our site.  I have lots of new articles and recipes to post.

Galaxy Features:
- Open 7 nights a week
- 3 Screens each with two feature movies (they play current movies or at least they did the night we went)
- Authentic vintage car speakers- the really cool metal speakers that you hanging in your car window.  We always take a portable radio so we can sit outside our car in lawn chairs.  They broadcast the movie soundtrack on a local FM radio with DTS surround sound.

Ally's Experience & Drive In Tips:
I absolutely love this new Texas Drive In Movie Theatre!  It was clean and fun.  We took the twins and Drew and my father and his wife.  And met some friends of ours that live close by.  The kids and dad played baseball while we waited for the movie to start.  A really fun family time! We saw the two family movies that were playing...Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Herbie: Fully Loaded. I love the orignal Willy Wonka.  My kids call it the "candy movie".  We were not as crazy about the remake.  It was just a little to weird for me.  Not a timeless move as the original.  Herbie was just adorable we all thought it was cute.

Drive in Tips:
Arrive early - we got there around 6:30/ 6:45 pm.  The drive in fills up quick and you want to be able to get a good spot.

Stay overnight at a local hotel.  If you stay for both features, the last one gets over around 1am.  Don't worry about leaving early or driving tired.  We originaly booked the best western which looked really nice but when we arrived they do not allow pets and my dad had his dog.  So we stayed at the Ennis Inn- The price was really reasonable, rooms clean, outdoor swimming pool and only a few minutes away from the Galaxy Drive In.  Side note...the woman who runs the hotel was telling us that her boyfriend helped build it.  It was fun to hear her share the stories.

Dress in layers.  So if its cool or warm you can adjust your clothing and say comfortable.

Be sure to pack:
-  blankets
-  lawn chairs one for each person
- radio
- bug spray or bug candles
- snacks that your family likes (they have a good - CHEAP snack bar with hotdogs, hamburgers, popcorn and nachos & drinks)
- wet wipes
- a few empty sacks to put your trash in
- baseball and bat
-soccer or kick ball
-frisby
