Halloween Flash Light Cover
Cut a circle of orange construction paper to fit over the lens of the flashlight. Cut out a jack-o-lantern face into the center. Place the cut out over the lens and turn the light on.

Halloween Cat Candy Dish
Cut a clean plastic detergent bottle into the shape of a cat. Head at the top of the bottle and as it gets wider it forms that cats body. With a sharp knife, cut out the cats eyes. Glue on whiskers with pipe cleaners.

Halloween Skul Lantern
Remove the handle of a gallon water jug (empty and clean). Keep the handle it will be the back of the skull later. With a sharp knife cut out the skeletons feautes- the two eyes, nose and zippered mouth. To light up the skul you can use christmas tree lights. Just pull them through the hole where the handle was.

Halloween Bean Bag Games
To make the bean bags- cut two scrap circles approx 5" in diameter. Put the fabric rights sides together and sew around leaving a small opening to turn right side out. Fill with beans- aprox 1/2 cup then slip stitch the opening closed. You can decorate the bean bags to look like pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, black cats, akeletons or ghosts by simply adding some decorative felt.

Hit the witch halloween bean bag game-
With cleaned dried pint plastic bottles make witches. Paint the body of the bottle to look like a witch and glue on hair with yarn and add a paper hat. Fill the bottles with a little sand. Line up the witches in a row on a box or table. Each child gets three bean bags. Each child gets 1 point for each witch knocked down. The first child to score 10 points wins the game.

Scare the Ghost Halloween Game
Start with a box approx 8" x 12"
Cut the flaps off the box then paint it black inside and out. Cut a slot in the top of the box approx 1" by 4". Cover the edges of the slot with tape so that the edges are smooth. Cut a ghost out of poster board and hang through the slot in the top of the box. Each child has 3 bean bags to try to knock the ghost out of the box.

Pitch the Pumpkin Halloween Game
You will need two gallon water jugs cleaned and dried. Cut the bottoms off about 3" from the bottom. You are making scoop like handles. Pair the children up and they each have a scoop and one Jack-o-lantern bean bag. They toss it back and forth to each other trying to catch it in the scoop.

Witch's Brew Relay Race
Six or more children can play this fun halloween game. You will need a witch's cauldron or you can make one from a large bucket. Fill the witch's cauldron with four bean bags.
Depending on how many children are playing divide them into even number teams. Line them up 4 feet apart with the cauldron in the middle. Begin the game by placing two bean bags in the cauldron and one on each of the first players head of each team. Give the spooky signal for the game to begin and the first player runs to the cauldron, exchanges thier bean bag, takes it back to the next player in line- the tricky part is that they are not allowed to use thier hands to keep the bean bag on thier head.

How to make your own halloween sound effects for haunted houses.

You can do these live or record them to make haunded cd's for your halloween event.

Crying Puppy or Dog Sound Effect: blow up a balloon. With first two fingers of both hands, stretch neck of balloon-slowly releasing the air.

Horse Sound Effect: To reproduce the sound of horse's hoofs- for a headless horseman-hold a block of wood in each hand. Hit the ends together, alternating the ends. You can vary the rhythm to sound like the horse is trotting or galloping.

Knock on the Door Sound Effect: Hold an empty gallon plastic jug in one hand and strike it with a rubber kitchen scraper.

Pistol Shot Sound Effect: Stretch a rubber band around the center of a foil pie pan. Pull the band out then snap it against the pan.

Train Whistle Sound Effect: Put a sheet of paper over the top of an 8" foil pie pan. Place partly open mouth against paper and utter a shriek without moving your lips. If the train is far away make a small shriek and make it larger as the train approaches.

Wind Sound Effect: Hold one sheet of wax paper one side in each hand. With an accordion movement crush and smooth the paper.

Storm Sound Effect: Shake a large sheet of thick brown wrapping paper like you are cleaning a dirty rug.

Thunder: Vibrate an aluminum cookie sheet and bang it occasionally for thunder.
