Garden Edging Products

by Allison Ray

First you have to ask yourself what is garden edging? Garden edging is a border between your flower bed and the grass in your yard. Most people want edging in their yard because it keeps the mulch in the flower bed and the grass out of their flower bed. It also make the flower bed and yard looks cleaner. The simplest type of edging is the trench cut at the lawns edge. Trench have to be cut and re-cut every so often. But most homeowner would prefer garden edging with less work.

There are good reasons for having edging in a lawn.

First reason is grass spreads and you will be pulling grass out of the flower bed all summer.

Second reason is if you don’t used edging your rocks or mulch which ever you have in flower bed will get in your lawn and spread through the grass with lawn mower. One form of edging is the mower strip which lets you run the lawn mower wheels on the strip so you can mow close and not have to use a weed eater.
