You count the sprinkles on each kid's cupcake to make sure they're equal. 2. You want to take out a contract on the kid who broke your child's favorite toy and made him/her cry. 3. You have time to shave only one leg a week. 4. You hide in the bathroom to be alone. 5. Your child throws up and you catch it. 6. Someone else's kid throws up at a party and you keep eating. 7. You consider finger paint to be a controlled substance. 8. You mastered the art of placing food on a plate without anything touching. 9. Your child insists that you read "Once Upon a Potty" out loud in the lobby of the doctor's office, and you do it. 10. You hire a sitter because you haven't been out with your husband in ages, then spend half the night talking about and checking on the kids. 11. You hope ketchup is a vegetable because it's the only one your child eats. 12. You find yourself cutting your husband's sandwiches into unusual shapes. 13. You hear your mother's voice coming out of your mouth when you say, "Not in your good clothes." 14. You stop criticizing the way your mother raised you. 15. You read that the average 5-year-old asks 437 questions a day and realize that means 874 a day for you to answer. 16. You say at least once a day, "I'm not cut out for this job," but you know you wouldn't trade it for anything!” Multiples of Love Multiples can spell trouble, it's true— They cry, they smash, they tear. They break and spill and bite and scratch And pull each other's hair. They practice art upon the walls And yank electric cords. And cookies, milk and other "things" Are ground into the floors. They drive their mothers crazy, Their fathers go berserk. Dad's glad when Monday rolls around So he escapes to work. The diaper pails are full again! The laundry's piled high. The doctor's bills (and others, too!) Are mounting to the sky. So if you have a single child As placid as a dove, Contain your envy, if you can We're lucky to have twice The amount of children's love! Mother of Twins Prayer There's two to wash, There's two to dry; There's two who argue, There's two who cry. One's in the mud, Having a ball; The other holds a crayon... Another marked wall. Some days seem endless, My patience grows thin. Why did God choose me To be a mother of twins? The answer comes clear- At the end of the day, As I tuck them in bed And to myself I say... There's two to kiss, There's two to hug; And best of all, Thank You, God, for two to love. Holiday Titles Caregiver Appreciation Day: We Give A Care Patience Plus!
