About a month ago I tried the coolest thing ever invented...super suppers.  I had no idea what it was before a friend called me and asked if I would go with her.  It was a bit of an investment, approx $200.00 for 12 meals. But I soon found that it was well worth it. When you go in to super suppers you can make 12 large meals or 24 smaller meals (which was pleanty of food for the two of us and three kids)  So the price really worked out to be $200.00 for 24 meals.  Depending on how much your family eats per meal you migh be able to do this too. Let me say too that I do not work there so the prices may have changed that is what we paid in July 2005 in Dallas, Texas. 
For those of you who have no idea what super suppers is let me tell you...You order online the meals that you would like to make for your family.  You can order one of each meal or double up on some and delete others that you do not like.  There is a detailed super suppers menu for each month so you can decide what looks good.  Then you pick a night to go to the actual super suppers location near you to make your meals.

When my friend and I walked in we were welcomed by a nice woman and her husband and instucted to put on an apron and have a snack and drink.  They had soda, wine, and water and some yummy meat balls that I could have eaten a thousand of!!! Then they gave a quick description of the evenings schedule to the group of us.  There was probably 8 or so other ladies there. 

Each super supper meal is set up at a station similar to a buffet only the ingredients are raw.  Over each buffet was a recipe for that particular meal.  You fill one large or two smaller containers according to the recipe then put a label on top that tells you how to cook the meal.  The portions are VERY generous and  you can leave out any ingredients that your family does not like.  One of the meals we made was a spicy pork chop with rice and I left out the chili powder because its too hot for the twins.  The month we went they had pork chops, maple chicken, ribs, chicken wontons, ham casserole, fruit crisp and a few seafood meals. 
Once you have walked around each station then you are done and ready to pack up your meals.  Be sure to bring a sturdy box as the meals are heavy!  Then you just take them home and put them in the freezer and thaw and cook according to instructions.  It's quick, easy and they seemed to use mostly healthy ingredients.  I super suppers is great for busy moms!
